Healing the Large Intestine


Palm


The large intestine is associated with the index finger and the lungs are associated with the thumbs. Weakness, tension or any irregularities in these areas could indicate problems in the large intestine as well as the lungs.


Exercise to Stimulate the Large Intestine


The right hand corresponds to the ascending and transverse colon projections. The left hand corresponds to the descending and transverse colon projections. Start with your right hand and repeat the following steps on your left hand as well.


Right and Left Hand


1. In circular motions, massage the lowest lifeline (associated with digestion and respiration) on the right palm for 30 seconds.


2. Stroke the same line, from bottom to top, three times.


3. In circular motions, massage the entire palm three times.


4. In circular motions, massage the whole thumb, from 

bottom to top, including the thumbnail, three times.


5. In circular motions, massage the whole index finger, from bottom to top, including the fingernail, three times.


6. In circular motions, massage the area between the thumb and index finger 10 times in a clockwise motion.


7. Then, starting below the pinky finger, just above the wrist, massage in small increments up to the point below the heart line, then massage in a circular motion 10 times.


8. Continue to massage in small increments while moving towards the webbing between the index and thumb. Repeat three times.


9. Rub your hands together, focus your healing intent, take your thumb into your palm and cover it for 30 seconds.


10. Rub your hands together, focus your healing intent, take your index finger into your palm and cover the entire finger for 30 seconds.


11.Rub your hands together, focus your healing intent and cover the large intestine area for 30 seconds.
